Toes to heels

Amatsu is all about making people feel better. One way I like to teach people (and I’d do a better post here, but phone is on charge elsewhere so I can’t upload pictures right now, so this is basically a draft) is to destress and ground. Grounding is important. It’s entirely possible nowadys in our modern world to live a span of 100 years without actually touching the earth, thanks to rubber soles and the vagaries of Californication.

This one is simple – so you’re having a sub-par day? No worries. Lift up into your toes, breathe in as you do. Now close your eyes and look up as far as you can, tilt your head back and reach the top of your breath. Next, come down briskly on your heels (not too fast, we don’t want you sore). Can you tell I’m neurodiverse by the way I write? Really? Neat.

And you’re breathing out on the way down, bottom out your breath when you land back into your heels. Remember to live your life with the entirety of yourself, in your own body, every day. A lot of people live from the neck up only. I do too sometimes. I’ll try to remember to post up a little video later, but you know me. No promises
